Ali Sabokbar is an independent filmmaker and screenwriter from Iran whose works include The Bride Has a Doll in Her Hands, Dirty Water, Gladiator Baby, Qajari Coffee, Abnabat Najva, and Murder.

His creative practice focuses on independent cinema that combines human emotion, social reality, and symbolic imagery. Through his films, he explores themes of memory, identity, loneliness, love, and the inner conflicts of human life.

In recent years, he has incorporated artificial intelligence into his filmmaking process, exploring new forms of cinematic expression and the creative possibilities of AI-based visual storytelling.

Ali Sabokbar is also serving as a jury member for the 3rd Korea AI Cinema Festival, contributing his experience as an independent filmmaker and screenwriter to the festival’s evaluation process.
